Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy ( PEMF )

Discover the power of PEMF therapy for pain relief and improved healing

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy has been used to treat a wide range of conditions, including pain, inflammation, depression, and anxiety. Here are some examples of PEMF therapy:

Reduced Pain & Inflammation

PEMF therapy has been demonstrated to alleviate pain in patients suffering from a variety of conditions, including osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and joint pain. Patients with knee osteoarthritis who received PEMF therapy reported substantial reductions in pain and enhancements in function.

PEMF therapy has also been shown to decrease inflammation in individuals suffering from a variety of illnesses, including rheumatoid arthritis.

Research & Development

In 1979 the FDA (the U.S. Food and Drug Administration) allowed PEMF to be used on humans for non-union fractures and bone healing. Ten years later, this was extended to treating pain and oedema in soft tissue.

Because of the detrimental effects of low gravity on astronauts’ bone and cartilage formation, NASA funded a US$3.5 million research and development program into PEMF. NASA was awarded a patent for PEMF technology in 2009.
